Filling of casual vacancies on Swillington Village Council

Notice is hereby given that 2 vacancies have occurred in the office of Parish Councillor for the Swillington Village Council arising from the resignations of Elizabeth Howson and Gillian Crossley-Rudd.

An election to fill the vacancies will be held if notice in writing of a request for such an election is made by ten Local Government electors for the electoral area* and received by the Returning Officer, c/o Electoral Services, 4th Floor West, Civic Hall, Leeds LS1 1UR, by not later than 13 March 2024.

If an election is not requested by ten Local Government electors, the vacancies will be filled by the Village Council as soon as practicable after the expiry of the date referred to above.
