Welcome to the web site of Swillington Village Council. We hope that there is something of interest to you within its pages. Swillington is a lovely village on the outskirts of Leeds. It was, many years ago a mining village but with the closure of the Primrose Hill Colliery this era of its history ended.
A semi-rural community Swillington has a lot to offer, green spaces and rural walks and a low crime rate, yet all the amenities of the thriving city of Leeds within easy reach. The Village Council meet on the first Tuesday of every month at 7.30 at the Village Hall on Church Lane. Please come along and watch democracy in action. We also want as many people as possible to be able to use this website. You should be able to navigate our website easily but if you have any issues please contact the Clerk. Please view the ACCESSIBILITY STATEMENT FOR SWILLINGTON VILLAGE COUNCIL.
We have two thriving allotment sites but sorry no vacancies at the moment, please contact the Clerk if you wish to be put on our waiting list.
We update our pages regularly to keep the community informed but if you feel that we could improve then please contact us to let us know.
